At the 2018 SESAH Awards Ceremony in Manhattan, Kansas, we announced the recipients of our 2018 Publications Awards, including John North Hopkins at Rice University for The Genesis of Roman Architecture (Yale, 2016); Nathaniel Walker at the College of Charleston for “American Crossroads: General Motors’ Mid-Century Campaign to Promote Modernist Urban Design in Hometown, U.S.A,” as published in Buildings and Landscapes: Journal of the Vernacular Architecture Forum (Fall 2016); Gina Haney for “Understanding Antebellum Charleston’s Backlots Through Light, Sound, and Action” as published in Slavery in the City: Architecture and Landscapes in Urban Slavery in North America (UVA, 2017); and Robin Williams at SCAD for Buildings of Savannah (UVA, 2016). Congratulations to everyone for these remarkable publications!
